If you’ve been reading anti aging news, you’ve probably heard of Dr. Aubrey de Grey.
A founder of the Methuselah Foundation, he also wrote the book, Ending Aging.
The Methuselah Foundation is sponsoring the first ever U.S. conference on Aging: the Disease, the Cure, the Implications. Scientists from all over will be discussing their research and findings on aging.
And Dr. de Grey got an article written about him in Wired Magazine.
As the subject of anti aging becomes more mainstream, more money is being funded to organizations that do research on the subject of aging. Recently, the Buck Institute got a $25 million grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to start a new scientific discipline called Geroscience, which will be focused on the interface of normal aging and age-related diseases.
Look to be hearing more about Geroscience in the near future. The anti aging phenomenon isn’t going away anytime soon!
Here’s an amusing interview of Dr. Aubrey de Grey on the Stephen Colbert Report:
