Book Review – No More Little Old Ladies!
March 2, 2010 by GiGi · 3 Comments
Welcome back!
We all read or hear information about anti aging, but it’s rare to get advice from someone who actually lives what they preach. No More Little Old Ladies! was written by Barbara Morris, a pharmacist who wrote about anti aging techniques when she was 79 – she clearly knows something about aging.

The IFIC Annual Survey Webinar Is Coming – Yippee!
May 9, 2009 by GiGi · Leave a Comment
Yes, folks, it’s time for the IFIC’s (International Food Information Council) 2009 Survey on Food and Health Safety webinar. Exciting stuff – I know!
You may remember last year when I posted the 2008 results – 2008 Food Health Survey and got into a little debate over the artificial sweetener issue.
Just a few short months ago, the FDA “approved” Stevia by issuing a “letter of no questions” .
No telling what exciting news might be released in this year’s survey results. And I’ll be there – to let you know if there’s anything interesting.
This year’s Web cast will feature consumer insights on:
* Food safety and safe food handling practices
* Economic impact on food choices
* Biggest contributor to health and wellness
* Weight management
* And more
Look for my update at the end of May!

Here is an absolutely must see video of some basic information about anti aging medicine.
I especially like the beginning where he covers the goal of anti aging – to live a vibrant, quality life for a long as possible rather than a slow decline from the time you are 30.
Dr. Ron Rothenburg does a good job of covering some terms you may have heard but are unsure of. He covers some of the supplements, some bio-identical hormones and hgh supplementation (human growth hormone). Read more

Brain Health For Life: Secrets to Maintaining Healthy Brain Function For Life
The human brain is a complex organ comprised of 100 billion neurons (brain cells) that are lost at a rate of 1 per second, or an astounding 85 thousand per day.
For years, the health of your brain cells was largely considered a one-shot deal: Your neurons had a single non-dividing lifespan — and once they were gone, there was no replacing them.
We now know that brain cells, under the right conditions, do regenerate and regrow the neural communication network so important to cognition and memory.
Common symptoms related to brain dysfunction include:
- Inability to focus and concentrate
- Diminished cognitive (thinking) ability
- Impaired short term memory
Although the focus of this webinar will be key nutrients needed for brain health, don’t forget there is plenty you can do to “exercise” your brain to keep it functioning properly. Your brain is like a muscle in that regard and falls under the “use it or lose it” category.
