Too Old To Exercise or Too Young To Die?

Sounds kind of brutal, doesn't it? But the plain truth is, you can do all the other anti aging things right, but if regular exercise isn't part of the plan, itprobably won't work.

I'll bet you can name someone you know (perhaps a family member) that lived to a ripe old age that never did any regular exercise. Were they healthy in their later years? How many people do you know that didn't exercise and developed health problems because of it? Probably more, right?

If you are over 50 and have never done regular exercise in your life, it's not too late to start.
From You're Never Too Old to Exercise ,you'll be interested to know that:

  • Exercising is the closest thing to a ’magic bullet,’ to ensure longevity and a good quality of life
  • 85% of people over 65 have some health problem that could deter them from exercising
  • The number one motivator for exercise is turning 50 itself
  • 52% percent of doctors tell their patients to exercise, but only 14% actually prescribe it
  • only 11% of older people do strength training

There are lots of online options to help get you started.

No excuses! Get moving! Laughing

If You Hate Going To The Gym…

September 25, 2007 by User ImageGiGi (Who am I?) · Leave a Comment

We all know we have to exercise to stay young and healthy. For me, it’s been a struggle to find a program that keeps me interested for very long. Getting dressed and going to the gym just never worked for me.

If you really hate going to the gym, there’s finally an at-home exercise program that works! It works for me.

And it may work for you too. All you really need is a computer. Finally, there’s an affordable, interesting and fun way to work out at home.

They have an endless supply of exercise videos on almost every conceivable type of program - from aerobics, stability ball, kickboxing, weight training, yoga and pilates, even some dance. You name it, it’s probably there. The programs vary from beginner, intermediate to advanced.

I’ll be writing a more in depth review on the main site, Anti Aging Nutrition News, but for now, head on over there and check it out!

Demand Fitness

Let me know if you have any questions about the program!

Two New Book Reviews on Anti Aging

November 21, 2006 by User ImageGiGi (Who am I?) · Leave a Comment

I’ve recently added two new book reviews. Important books for your anti aging library.
The first one is a general health and nutrition antiaging book and covers a wide variety of the latest topics related to staying young and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Read my review of it here:

Ultimate Health

This next book is truly inspirational and more related to fitness in the anti-aging field, although he does cover nutrition also. If looking at some of these “before” and “after” photos doesn’t get you motivated to get back into shape (or at least start!), then nothing will! You will feel you’ve run out of excuses after reading these true stories.

Fit Over 40

Check them out!
