New Anti Aging Site Design Done
May 30, 2008 by GiGi · 3 Comments
Welcome back!
Thanks for your patience during this transition. I hope you like the new site design!
I still have some more work to do – never stop tweaking!
One of the problems I’ve noticed is occasionally it takes a long time to load a page. I’m working on that and hopefully that will get resolved soon.
I have some exciting things planned for the site, such as new comparison reviews to make it easier for you to make decisions on supplements or other anti aging products.
I’d also like to do some interviews with people that are role models for anti aging. If you are one of those, or know someone who is, let me know! I’ll feature them on my “Spotlight” page. Contact me here.
I should be back on the regular posting schedule next week.
The next post will include a short anonymous poll I’d like you to fill out. Look for it soon.
Anti Aging Toothpaste – Going Too Far?
It seems like every time we turn around, there’s a new anti aging product coming out. Not surprising, considering how many of us Baby Boomers there are – it’s only natural for a company to cash in on that market segment. But anti aging toothpaste? Really?
I was once told by a dentist years ago that it’s the actual act of brushing your teeth that is the real benefit. What you put on your toothbrush doesn’t really matter. Don’t know if that’s really true, but looking at the ingredients in this anti aging toothpaste makes me want to care.
So What’s In Anti Aging Toothpaste?
A mixture of bovine extracted bimolecular proteins containing, placenta, membrane, tissue and organic cells – WHAT?? Why would I want to brush my teeth with that??
Also Yeast containing B complex, Vitamin C, Rathania and Johanniskraut oil, Kiesel acid, fluoride, aromatic oils, and sea salt. It also contains parabens, chemicals used as preservatives, but then so do most other toothpastes. It also has hormones, vitamins, RNAs (ribonucleic acids).
What Are The Benefits of Anti Aging Toothpaste?
According to the manufacturer, it helps the mouth to repair and regenerate all of its tissues, keeping teeth and gums healthy, improving blood supply and saliva production and helping to prevent bad breath and general infections.
It also prevents bleeding gums, infections, inflammations, paradontosis, loose teeth, bad breath and pain – but then, so does regular brushing with any toothpaste.
Sorry, I won’t be giving you the link to this one – you can Google it under “anti aging toothpaste”.
Passing Along Some Nutrition News…
April 7, 2008 by GiGi · 3 Comments
I’m a bit under the weather this week (see photo), so I’ll be showing you some fun and interesting blogs I’ve come across in the nutrition field.
This first one is written by a guy named Jeremy who finally gave up yo-yo dieting and is now trying a more sensible approach to getting fit and healthy. He calls it “Almost Fit“. Isn’t that where most of us are?
I originally was going to share this article with you:
11 Ways To Go Food Shopping More Often because it shows you some ways to incorporate more frequent shopping for fresher items.
But then I saw this one:
Miraculous Weight Loss Compound Found In Artic Thaw , which is a story I also saw and was going to report on, but he beat me to it. (See comments below)
And then I read this latest one, which was a really interesting true-life experience:
Taking Responsibility For Portion Size There will be a part II to this story also.
Take your pick and I also suggest you sign up for his reader updates. Jeremy always has some interesting stuff!
Enjoy!
Mayo Clinic’s Anti Aging Quiz

Have you seen the anti aging quiz over at the Mayo Clinic site?
I got 9 out of 10 right – not too bad. It's rather generic, but informative nonetheless.
Give it a try : Mayo Clinic's Anti-Aging Quiz.
