Anti Aging Telomere Treatment Is Here

I first brought up telomeres back in November in this post: Vitamin D3 and Aging. Basically, they are part of your DNA that are attached to the end of your chromosomes. As we age, they get shorter. Once they get too short, the cells cannot divide and we die.
Now science has found an enzyme that actually reverses that process by keeping the telomere long. A company called Geron developed TA-65, a molecule that activates the enzyme.
TA-65 is made from the chinese herb Astragalus. Apparently, just taking the herb as a supplement will not give you the same results, as there is very little TA-65 produced in the regular processing of this herb.
TA Sciences has a process of measuring your telomeres and present health and then developing a plan to administer the TA-65 and other follow-up supplements. This is a 6 month process (The Patton Protocol) which costs $11,610! Not exactly available to the main-stream public.
But now Dr. Al Sears has become the first licensed doctor to be licensed to provide TA-65 to the general public.
I have no idea how much his treatments cost, but if you are in the West Palm Beach, Florida region on October 26, you can sign up for a TA-65 conference for $500.
If that’s out of your price range, he also suggests taking the following supplements to keep your homocysteine levels from getting too high. High homocysteine levels cause the telomeres to shorten more rapidly and can cause age-related diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, heart disease, and impotence.
(Amounts are daily)
Vitamin B12 – 500 mcg
Folic Acid – 800 mcg
Vitamin B6 – 25 mg
Riboflavin (B2) – 25 mg
TMG (trimethylglycine) – 500 mg

Molecule Derived from Ancient Chinese Herb Gets to Root of Aging
TA Sciences has isolated TA-65: a single molecule from Astragalus
TA-65 is a naturally occurring molecule found in the ancient Chinese herb Astragalus that activates the enzyme telomerase. Telomerase acts to lengthen telomeres which are protective bits of DNA located at the ends of chromosomes. Telomeres control the life span of cells and are a key component in the aging process. T.A. Sciences has developed a proprietary process to refine and purify TA-65. Some may question why you wouldn’t just buy Astragalus in a health food store. The answer is that normal Astragalus extracts contain thousands of different molecules and little or no TA-65. T.A. Sciences has tested four commonly available Astragalus extracts, and none of them contained any measurable amounts of TA-65 .
The refining process begins with 3 tons of plant material harvested from selected farms in one small region in China. In T.A. Sciences’ plant extraction facility, the raw Astragalus root is chopped up and refined. After initial extraction, the base ingredient is further purified and then sent to an outside government testing facility where it is tested for purity, heavy metals, and pesticides. The product is then sent to a FDA certified, state-of-the-art, laboratory for final purification that ends up with 90+% pure TA-65.
To speak with a representative from T.A. Sciences about TA-65 or the basics of Telomere Biology, please contact me.
Thanks,
Kate

ABOUT TA SCIENCES:
After more than 6 years of research and development, T.A. Sciences has perfected an exclusive method for extracting the naturally-occurring TA-65 molecule from the Astragalus root. TA-65 activates telomerase and this helps keep cells functioning in a normal and healthy way as we age. For more information please visit http://www.TASciences.com.

There you go, folks - straight from the horse’s mouth! Thanks so much for the information, Kate!
I’d love to have my telomeres measured sometime - if anyone would like to spring for a birthday present!
Where do you go to get your telomeres test for aging or stress?
What lab test?
Where?
http://www.23andme.com
?
Good question, Delynn! I know TASciences does that.
I’m not sure about the 23andme site. There is an extensive list of things they DO test, but I don’t see telomeres mentioned specifically.
Coincidentally, my cousin just had that genetic testing done at 23andme - I’ll ask her about the results.
Hi Kate Streit,
I like to introduce the business of TA 65 antiaging formula to Malaysia and the ASEAN Countries. Is that [possible or what it take to undertake these business proposal.
Please advice>

Halim
