Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for Anti Aging

October 10, 2008 by GiGi

Welcome back!

Here’s a new one on me.  HBOT or Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy has been around for a while, yet I never knew it as a treatment for anti aging.

It has long been used for divers, but HBOT has only lately begun to gain recognition for treatment of chronic degenerative health problems related to atherosclerosis, stroke, peripheral vascular disease, diabetic ulcers, wound healing, cerebral palsy, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, macular degeneration, and many other disorders.

HBOT has also been clinically proven to produce a more efficient immune system, rapid regeneration of cells, and works as a potent anti-aging therapy. Simply stated, significantly increasing the delivery of oxygen to all tissues throughout one’s body results in improved health and vitality.

There doesn’t appear to be too many side effects, but it is not compatible with some medications.

Watch the video to get an idea of what it is all about.

I just want to say that anyone who uses HBOT for anti aging is just another con artist… Ask any hyperbaric physician or Certified Hyperbaric Technologist who actually knows what they are talking about and they will tell you the same thing. People who advertise this crap are the ones who give a bad name to people like myself to treat the only 8 approved medicare/caid indications. you all suck

That could be true – I’m just reporting it – not endorsing it. Considering the ridiculously high price to have a treatment, I doubt there will be a mad rush by the general public to go have it done.

Many believe that oxygen levels DO affect aging! Consider that once upon a time oxygen levels in our air was around 50%, and now it’s about 16%. Further, cancer can’t survive and grow in a highly oxygenated environment. I use oxygen to exercise and haven’t been sick in over 30 years….coincidence, doubt it!

    Hi

You should never discount ways of improving ones health unless you can prove otherwise.

But on the other hand ones health should not be exploited for monetary gain.

Everything I’ve seen on HBOT used for anti-aging uses benefits of other indications like stroke, tbi, wound care, CO Poisoning to support therapuetic benefit on a healthy person for anti aging. Of course to them there’s no such thing as a healthy person, with all the toxins, additives, fluoride etc around/ ingested. To me this sounds like the oxygen bars using the arguement that because patients in a hospital benefit from oxygen, healthy people can too. This even gives the clinics that are treating patients with real problems(stroke, tbi etc) although not ones recognized by the insurance companies a bad name, not to mention the ones that are treating only for UHMS approved indications.
