Pet Supplements – Can You Slow Aging In Animals?
July 19, 2009 by GiGi
Welcome back!
We all want our pets to live long and healthy lives, but it turns out that our furry friends are just as susceptible to the diseases of aging as we are. And there are numerous pet supplements on the market aimed at helping them. Some of them work on specific ailments, but nothing is out there that works on many of the diseases associated with aging, such as arthritis, diabetes and cancer. Until now.
But is it possible to slow down the aging process in animals? Actually, yes. Resveratrol – probably the most exciting anti aging discovery in this century and one I’ve been blogging about for a year (see Resveratrol Posts) has actually been tested on animals and shown to extend the life of rats and monkeys by as much as 30%.
I’ll be going into more detail later about how resveratrol does that, but for now know that there are thousands of clinical trials and studies done on resveratrol — and all of them show very promising results.
It would make sense that there should be a resveratrol based product for pets, shouldn’t it? Well, now there is.
Resvantage has come out with a canine and a feline products for your pets. They’ve been making a quality human for about 3 years, but are the first company to come out with a pet product.
Note: Although we all think of resveratrol as the “red wine” supplement, it actually comes from about 70 different plant sources. Grapes are not good for dogs – the resveratrol in pet products comes from a perfectly safe form – Japanese Knotweed.
The testimonials are pouring in – pets with diabetes, hip displaysia and other ailments have been helped. Since resveratrol has been shown to slow down tumor growth, it also makes a great preventative supplement for cancer – the #1 killer of dogs.
If you have a middle-aged (or older) pet you’d like to keep around for a while, I urge you to check out Resvantage Canine or Feline- all natural nutritional pet supplement.
When you go to main page, click on the dog or the “Resvantage for Dogs” in the upper menu. From there you can also find the product for cats.

Our pets are important to us and should benifit from the advances in anti aging solutions as we do. There are few products available with which to treat the effects of anti aging in our pets. This is perhaps due to pet owners failure to ask for such remedies. Resveratrol Canine is a good product which is a useful product in this area. We can only hope other products will become available.

I have been taking a resveratrol supplement for about 3 months now. It isn\’t just resveratrol but a host of superfood extracts combined into a single pill. I have been feeling a lot better. An increase in energy is what I have noticed most. If this stuff works good for people, why wouldn\’t it work for pets?
