Brain Food Video – Use It or Lose It

March 28, 2008 by GiGi

Welcome back!

In this video, Dr. Goldman from the American Academy of Anti Aging Medicine, discusses the foods necessary to keep your brain at optimum performance. He also mentions some supplements I’ve reviewed before (and some I’ll be reviewing in the future!) as well as mental exercises needed.

It’s only 2 1/2 minutes – worth it.

This was a very helpful video. Thanks. I am currently reading a book, In Full Bloom (infullbloombook.com)that focuses on the mind-body connection to healthy aging, but I’ve been interested in the role diet plays in this process as well. Any suggestions for a vegetarian?

    Hi Mackenzie,
Thanks for the link to InFullBloom.com. That looks very interesting – I’ll definitely check it out.

As for the vegetarian question, I’m hoping you are at least taking a good quality multi-vitamin. Unfortunately, there are some nutrients that are difficult to get on a vegetarian diet without proper food combining.
As I don’t know your diet, age, health and a bunch of other factors, I can’t really make any recommendations.

Please feel free to contact me via the Contact Us form and I’ll help you with some research.

For me, the three most important anti-aging tips in this video are drinking sufficient water (being well-hydrated), staying active, and challenging yourself (I extrapolated this); Drinking sufficient water is the most important nutritional advice anyone can give to anybody. Physical activity is the number one anti-aging tool. Being socially involved and being engaged in thinking activities keep all of us young, regardless of our chronology.
